Internet Marketing #MKT3730 "To Do" List - 10 Things Due for Tues., Jan. 25
Note - Your "To Do" List (Reading & Assignments) is due to be completed by the beginning of next class, Tues., Jan. 25. We will be reviewing the readings and your assignments in class so be prepared to discuss and present your ideas and assignments to the class.
*** You must begin some tasks now to complete the assignment for the week. Read carefully ***
Readings
1. Read Part 2 - Chapters 4, 5 & 6 - How The Web Has Changed the Rules of Marketing & PR in your Book: The New Rules of Marketing & PR” (Revised & Updated Second Edition by David Meerman Scott. (Copyright 2010).
Assignments - Must be related to the Readings in Chapter 1 - 5
Note: Over the course of this week (Wed, Jan. 18 through Tuesday, Jan. 25) send at least 20 tweets. Note - You cannot accrue the 20 tweets at one time, on one day. They must be spread out over 4-7 days with a maximum of 5 per day counting towards your total. (Ex - 3 tweets per day x 7 = 21 or 4 tweets per day x 5 = 20)
The objective of this assignment is to engage with others on Twitter, not simply announce.
Your 20 Tweets over 4-7 days must include the required items outlined below.
1. Find & Follow - Find & Follow the author of your book + 3 other interesting marketing people on Twitter related to the ideas / concepts / terms from the readings in Chapter 1 - 5 and Follow them.
2. Create a list - on Twitter create a list called "Marketing Pros" and add the 4 interesting people that you followed to your list.
3. Tweet - Post a Tweet to the class recomending they follow these 4 people and explain why. Include the #mkt3730 Hashtag in your Tweet and the individual Twitter usderids with the @symbol. (You cannot use the same 4 people as other students)
4. Tweet/Link - Post a Tweet with a link to a marketing article, video, or blog related to any of the ideas / concepts / and terms from the readings in Chapter 1 - 5. (You must use the Link Shortener and cannot post the same item as another student.) Include the #mkt3730 Hashtag in your Tweet.
5. DM - Direct Message one of the marketing pros that you follow and who follows you back with a ? related to the any of the chapter readings.
6. Reply - @reply - to a different marketing pro that you follow and who follows you and thank them for something that they shared that you find interesting. Tell them why? Include the #mkt3730 Hashtag in your Tweet.
7. Over the course of the week Respond (Reply) to a least five of your classmates' tweets. You may not accrue all of your responses at one time. They must be spread out over 4-7 days with a maximum of 2 per day counting toward your total.
8. RT - Retweet one of the posts from a different Marketing Pro that you follow that you found interesting. Be sure to include their Twitter userid with the @symbol to give them credit. Include the #mkt3730 Hashtag in your Tweet.
9. DM - Direct Message me when you have completed the assignment for the week
